Quarterly Updates under RERA

Why It’s Required?

As per the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA), every registered real estate project must submit Quarterly Progress Reports to the respective State RERA Authority. These updates include details of project status, approvals received, construction progress, sales updates, funds utilized, and any changes in timelines. The purpose of this mandatory compliance is to ensure transparency, accountability, and regular monitoring of the project, thereby safeguarding the interests of homebuyers.

Quarterly updates must be filed within 15 days from the end of each quarter (i.e., April–June, July–September, October–December, and January–March). Non-compliance can attract penalties and impact the credibility of the promoter. By filing timely quarterly updates, promoters not only stay legally compliant but also demonstrate professionalism and build greater trust with buyers and investors, enhancing the overall reputation of the project in the market.
